Fuse33 Makerspace
A shared workshop that transcends the conventional notion of a makerspace

Join us for this hands-on, two-day workshop where you’ll craft your own kiridashi-style knife from high-carbon steel. The kiridashi is a traditional Japanese utility blade known for its precision and versatility, making it a great introduction to knife-making.

Over the course of two sessions, you’ll learn essential metalworking techniques, including shaping, heat treating, and sharpening your blade to a razor-sharp edge. This class is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike—no prior experience necessary!

By the end of the second day, you’ll walk away with a fully finished kiridashi knife, handcrafted by you. All materials and safety gear are provided.
