In Explore Wood Finishing you will learn:

  • Identify different types of wood finishes and stains
  • Learn how to prepare wood for finishing
  • Understand the importance of sanding and sealing wood
  • Identify the appropriate finish for different types of wood projects
  • Develop skills in applying wood finishes such as staining, painting, varnishing, and waxing
  • Learn how to achieve different finishes such as matte, satin, and glossy
  • Gain knowledge of the tools and equipment needed for wood finishing
  • Learn about the environmental and health considerations when working with wood finishes
  • Learn how to troubleshoot common issues with wood finishing
