Fuse33 Makerspace
A shared workshop that transcends the conventional notion of a makerspace

Turn scrap wood into statement art.

This transformative workshop dives into the creative and practical skills of upcycling wood into beautiful, balanced sculptures, whether it’s a wall-hanging piece or a free-standing form. This can be one longer class or split into two sessions:

In Part One, we’ll cover:

  • Safe cutting and sanding techniques
  • How to choose and balance pieces for aesthetics and stability
  • Using nail guns and wood glue for clean, strong attachments

In Part Two, we’ll:

  • Add spray paint finishes or other creative touches
  • Drill holes for hanging or attach a base for free-standing display

This is a great intro to sculpture with an environmental twist, ideal for DIYers, artists, and anyone who loves giving materials a second life.
