Fusion 360 Class
Get an introduction to basic CAD modelling using Autodesk Fusion 360. This class will go over the use of sketches, primitives, creation tools (extrude, rotate, sweep, etc.) and modifiers to create dimensionally accurate 3D models. We will briefly be going over philosophies behind parametric and procedural modelling, and the differences between software like Fusion 360 and Blender or Maya. In the end, we will be exporting 3D models and drawings for use in other software.
Bring your own laptop, if you need help loading software, arrive 30min earlier. If you don’t have a laptop, let us know to make arrangements to have one available for you.
About your facilitator:
Edward A Jaworenko is a Technical Designer, Teacher and Entrepreneur, and has been a member at Fuse33 for almost a year now!
After this course, you will be able to create 3D models and drawings which can be processed using a variety of tools. From 3D printers, to CNC mills, laser cutters, or even to aid with hand fabrication.
Fusion 360 is free for hobbyist and entrepreneurs (for money, see terms of agreement for more info). This is a full CAD software allowing simple to complex assemblies to be created.
